Medical Services at Lensfield Medical PracticeStudent Stress

Despite the leafy backs, photogenic colleges, and teas in Granchester, life in Cambridge can be very stressful.
Studying as an undergraduate and post-grad. is sometimes lonely, pressured and wearing, and the signs of stress, anxiety and depression can present gradually and unwittingly:

  • Poor sleep
  • Social withdrawal
  • Indecision
  • Detachment
  • Poor concentration and motivation
  • Apathy
  • Drinking to excess
  • Emotional lability

The earlier you seek help the better. College Nurses, Supervisors, Directors of Studies, and Chaplains are well used to giving advice and support.
If that seems too close to home then do make an appointment to see someone at the Practice.

We have in-house counsellors who are very experienced to help besides the nurses and Doctors.
Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities have good counselling services, and below are two links to recommended and useful sites for on-line CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
